Top Casino Games for your tablet

Tablets are almost everybody’s favoured platform for playing casino games whether they are playing at home or playing on the go. Most casino games can be played on the iPad, the Microsoft Surface and Android tablets, but some that still require Adobe Flash are not available for the iPad.
The top tablet casino games are still the traditional ones. Slots are particularly popular for playing on the go probably because it the most accessible of all casino games. You can simply log in to your favourite mobile casino, have a few spins, and then leave; alternatively you can play for as long as you wish.
Roulette is still hugely popular. There is something quite mystic about roulette which the game retains even when played on a tablet rather than at a real casino. It is one of the oldest casino games, which makes it even more remarkable that it is now one of the most popular tablet casino games of all.
Blackjack is the most popular casino type card game for the tablet. It is very accessible, it is reasonably challenging, the better you get at it the more likely you are to win, and it is a mobile casino game with one of the smallest house edges.
Although baccarat is often thought of as being mainly for high stake players, mobile casino baccarat can be played for very modest stakes. High roller games are also available though if that is what you prefer.
You can also use your tablet to play live live casino games at what many consider as the best iPad casinos at iPadcasino.com.au. Here the experience is somewhat different as there are real dealers who spin the roulette wheel and shuffle and deal the cards. You can also interact with other players and converse directly with the croupiers if you have a question regarding any particular game. Sadly for iPad owners, while you can play at live casinos on your Android and Surface tablets, the lack of Adobe flash means that they are not available (yet) for the iPad.

Online gaming between tablets vs mobile phones

According to Games Industry International it appears that 80% of tablet and mobile phone users use their devices for playing games. Other surveys more or less concur, with reported figures of between 65% and 80%. Around 20% of owners of both mobile phones and tablets say that they prefer to play online games on their tablets.

The obvious trade off between online gaming on phones and tablets is the quality and size of the display versus the convenience and ease of handling. The gaming experience is better on large tablets, but smartphones are easier to carry around. What is happening though is that tablets are getting smaller with the 7 inch tablet beginning to dominate the market, while phones are getting larger. Already there are phones available with 6 inch displays.

There are also other ways in which phones and tablets are merging. Some of the latest tablets have HSPA connectivity and they are effectively mobile phones. You wouldn’t want to hold them to your head to make a call, but with Bluetooth and speakerphone functionality there is no need to. Examples of these tablet phones include the Asus FonePad and the seven inch Galaxy Tab where playing online is made easy.

It also depends on the kinds of games you play on your mobile device. If you enjoy playing online casino games such as blackjack and roulette or even a little poker then you can get by with your mobile phone, be sure to check out the best iPhone casinos at iPhonecasino.ca!. After all, you are not playing these games for the immersive quality of their graphics, you are playing to hopefully win some money. If you are a serious gamer and enjoy playing massive multiplayer online games such as the World of WarCraft you are going to need something larger, preferably a good deal larger. You can play the game on your mobile if you are streaming from the cloud, but it is not really recommended.

The best video conferencing gadgets in market

Video conferencing is becoming a massive trend in numerous areas of communications at an explosive rate. Whether we’re talking about University learning environments, corporate settings or small business conferencing with freelancers and telecommuters; in all of these cases, a growing list of video calling options is presenting itself at extremely reasonable prices and easy to arrange set up times.

That said, with all the options available, it’s easy to overlook the essentials and the best gadgets or brands that represent these vital core tools for video conferencing. In order to make things a bit simpler, take a look through the following list to find out exactly what will work best at fulfilling your professional quality video calling needs without making things overly complicated or pricey.

1. High End Tablet

While video conferencing is something that many of us normally associate with desktop PCs or laptops, doing it on the go with a high quality mobile device is becoming more and more common. The iPad With Retina Display or another high level brand such as the Galaxy Note 2 are all great examples of tablets that make the grade for some seriously good video conferencing and calling capacity.
In both cases you get awesome video rendering, crystal clear display technology (especially in the iPads case thanks to Retina) and the capacity to download numerous powerful video calling apps for one-on-one or multiway calls.

2. HD Video Camera

For those of you that plan on holding your conference calls from desktop machines, an HD camera is an absolute must-have gadget that delivers the kind of results you need for optimal video (depending on how strong your web connection is). Instead of enduring pixelated low quality calls with built in computer cams, go for much clearer quality with a separate video cam brand. A couple of good examples are the Logitech TV Cam HD, which works only with HD TVs, and the Logitech HD Pro Webcam, which can be used for computers and laptops.

3. Headset

Without a high quality headset, no video conferencing conversation is quite as clear as it could be, and tabletop or computer microphones are no substitute. However, any headset you buy should not only be comfortable but also as unobtrusive as possible. You don’t want something clunky surrounding your cranium as you talk to clients or business partners.
An excellent choice is the Plantronics Blackwire C320 USB Headset, which easily connects to your computer, is made with a solid, reliable frame and offers optimal audio quality with a comfortable fit.

4. Video Conferencing Screen

Holding your calls on a clear high definition monitor or screen is vital to easy communication and viewing between you and those you’re talking to. Because of this, you shouldn’t shirk on quality by settling for something cheap or with low resolution. Instead, go for what will provide the best image quality you can reasonably afford and make your video conferences truly professional.
One option is an HD TV, for which you can use the Logitech TV Cam HD mentioned above to create truly wide angle, high definition video calls. Or, you can also try a product such as the Samsung VC240 23.6″ widescreen LCD display monitor, which is completely designed and built for high level, professional video conferences.

5. Web Conferencing Software

No web conference is professionally complete without software that lets you integrate the whole meeting together, set up webinars or conferences and share data easily between yourself and just one or numerous other conference call attendees.
There are numerous all-in-one services like this available on the market but one particularly well priced option is Adobe Connect (current edition: 9) With Adobe you can do all of the above and at the same time create a calling environment in which everyone can communicate across numerous different devices, share information and make high quality recordings of all conference materials.

Highlights of the 2013 Consumer Electronic Show

An important message of the Las Vegas Consumer Electronic Show (CES) of 2013 is that gaming is going mobile. With the absence of anything new in terms gaming consoles such as the Xbox and Play Station (although it is rumoured that the next generation of games consoles is being developed by both Sony and Microsoft) mobile gaming was in the forefront.

What is apparent is that the boundaries between mobile gaming such as playing games at a mobile luckynugget online casino and playing console type games while on the go are merging. Today’s smartphones are becoming as powerful as yesterdays game consoles, and there is no shortage of developers who are seeking to exploit all that power in for using immersive games. Who would have thought that the gaming platform of tomorrow is likely to be Android?

The approach is to take a smartphone or a tablet, add a few handles and controllers, and there you have it; a powerful games console with a quad core processor. Play mobile casino games or call of Duty, and switch seamlessly between the two.

While it was games consoles that at one time were the inspiration behind the development of new computer technologies, today smartphones are tablets are performing a similar role, with big semiconductor companies such as Intel, AMD, ARM and Nvidia doing battle to develop the fastest, most powerful and least power hungry chips. And it seems that they are getting there very quickly. Already we are seeing smartphones with quad core processors and eight core processors are on the drawing board.

Another area where these devices are also improving is in their display technologies. Displays are not only getting larger, five inch displays seem to be just standard nowadays, they are also improving in definition and using less power.

What are really needed though are better batteries. Although there are mobile batteries in the lab which can be charged in just a minute, they are still some way from being commercialized  Long battery lives of several days or even weeks would be a great advance for mobile gaming.

Top 5 TV based online games

Every home has one, and for most of us, it’s a great source of information and entertainment. Where would we be without a TV? We all have our favourite shows, but what if you could play games based on them? Thanks to sites like Ladbrokes, have plenty of games with a theme based on a popular TV show and you can play them online at their website. The games include, Deal or No Deal, Who Wants to be a Millionaire and X Factor.

Whether you’re a fan of quiz shows, soap operas, dramas, sitcoms or even the news, there’s something you’re bound to enjoy, but what are the best around? We’ve managed to find five of the best TV-based online games available on the web today. Here are the pick of the bunch:

tv-games

1. Deal or No Deal Instant Win

Based on the hugely popular box-based guessing game, Deal Or No Deal Instant Win works in much the same way as a scratchcard. As with the TV show, you have 22 numbered boxes to work with, each containing different amounts of prize money.

However, the twist here is that some boxes contain the same amount, so, for example, if you want to win the top £25,000 prize, you have to open five boxes with that amount inside. The grey boxes show you how many boxes in a row you need to win.

2. Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

A huge hit on TV screens around the world, this is one of the greatest shows of its genre ever. The online game pretty much follows the same format, with the same chance to test your knowledge and win a big cash prize if you get all your questions correct. If you play who wants to be a millionaire, you get to play at a much quicker pace but with the same level of tension and skill.

3. Star Trek

You wouldn’t think that this classic sci-fi series would spawn a game, but it has! To play the online Star Trek game, you have 30 win lines to work with. After clicking the ‘Line Bet’ button and ‘+’ and ‘-‘ buttons to alter the size of your stake, you’re ready to start. There’s also an Autospin option.

4. News Time

A game based on a news programme might sound strange, but it’s there and it’s a lot of fun to play. Basically, it works like a general knowledge quiz, with progressive prizes for each correct answer. However, you have to beat the clock to win.

5. The Weakest Link

The weakest Link game is based on the stern general knowledge quiz hosted by so-called ‘Queen of Mean’ Anne Robinson. It rewards knowledge and comes with added tension as with each round, your time to answer each question becomes shorter.

Hands on review and Unboxing of Micromax Canvas 2

Android has paved the way for many companies to jump into the mobile and tablet manufacturing business. Among them few have carved a niche for themselves like Micromax. Recently Micromax has come up with many attractive phones and tablets.  But with introduction of Canvas series of phablet (Essentially Canvas can be termed as a combination of Phone and Tablet) it has ascended greater heights. Micromax Canvas 2 A110 also known as the Superfone is the cheapest Phablet currently available in the market with an impressive specs. I bought it couple of days ago and here is my hands on review of the same.

Unboxing

The Canvas 2 A110 package is very small and one will not believe that such a big phone is resting inside it. So it rightly said that “every beautiful gifts come in smaller packages”. As soon as you open the cover you will find the beautiful monster laying flat on it. You pull it out and hold it on your hand and you will have that macho feeling. The package also contains data cable cum power cord, power plug, the battery, 3.5mm earphone and instruction booklets. Here is the unboxing video:

Build and Design

When I saw A110 , just one word came out-wow!!. Initial look of the device is very impressive. It looks identical to Samsung Galaxy S III and size is almost the same as of Note II. The device is available in two colors, white and black. The build is much nicer and also heavier than the other micromax devices. The device features a 5 inch capacitive touch screen which gives a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. The screen guard that came on the device was of very inferior quality and came out once I put the phone in picket and took it out. I had to change it the next morning with a new screen guard. There are three touch sensitive hardware keys at the bottom of the screen and used for Option, Home & Back. on the right hand side power and lock button is present, the left hand side has the volume keys, the top side contains one microUSB port and 3.5 mm audio jack. On the back side a 8 MP camera, a dual LED flash and on the front side 0.3 MP front camera is placed . The rear of the Micromax Canvas 2 has a textured finish giving it a very good grip. Though the rear panel is plastic it has a premium feel.

Rating: 4.0/5

Multimedia

Multimedia features are not upto the mark. Because of the bigger screen size watching video in this device is a bliss but if you are looking for super sharp pictures you will be little disappointed. The built-in video player does not support all the formats, so you must download MX player to enjoy all video formats. FM radio is another facility which stands as an alternate style of multimedia. Sound has to be little good but nice. If you want a better multimedia experience, just replace the earphone that came bundled with it with a better one. However if you like reading novels and reports on your smartphone, you will in ,love with this device. As reading on this device is very smooth because of the large screen size and does not generate any stress even after reading continiously for 30-40 minutes.

Rating: 3.5/5

Camera

This comes with a 8MP primary camera with dual flash light. But low-light or night photography is a disappointment. The low light photos are of lower quality as compared to that on a 5MP camera with only single flash light. But outdoor photography is just superb. This also has a 0.3 MP front facing camera primarily used for video calling. Video Recording quality of the primary camera is also not upto the mark. Overall the camera is a little disappointment. Look at the bottom of the post for few shots taken at different lighting condition.

Rating: 3.0/5

Battery

I loved the battery supplied with Micromax Canvas 2 A110. It has a lithiumm ion battery of 2000 mAh that provides longer uptime for the device. I  noticed that with maximum brightness of the screen, the battery was draining pretty fast. So if you reduce gthe brightness to atleast 50%, you can get a good battery life.

Rating: 4.0/5

Hardware and OS

Canvas 2 is powered by a 1GHz dual core processor and running on Ice Cream Sandwich 4.04. It is having 2 SIM slots which is an advantage, as there are only a few smartphone with dual SIM capability. It comes with 2GB ROM and 2GB built-in storage which is expandable upto 32GB via microSD. Micromax could have done a better justice to this device by putting 1GB RAM instead of  512MB. That would have found lot more takers for the phone. However the 512MB RAM seems to be quite good while operating this device and there is no lag in game play or while using lot of applications. While checking the available RAM I saw a very peculiar thing. In Google Nexus S with same 512MB RAM I got different result, the screen shot from both are attached. It clearly indicates that the available RAM to OS in Micromax Canvas 2 is more as compared to Nexus S.

Rating: 4.5/5

Connectivity

Micromax Canvas 2 A110 Superfone offers loads of data connectivity features including the bluetooth 3.0 facility that ensures that the user can transfer and receive data from other device. The USB 2.0 port helps the user to connect the device with their computers or laptops and charge the device through it or even exchange data with it via USB cable. GPS is working fast , where you can create Wi-Fi network by the device.

Rating: 4/5

Applications

Micromax Canvas 2 A110 Superfone comes with many preloaded apps like the Facebook and Twitter applications along with HookUp, M! Zone, M! Store & M! Buddy. M! Store is a content delivery platform like Google Play store. So apart from Play store you have another options to download apps. The user can also download more games and apps from the play store.

Specification of Canvas 2

Canvas 2 as described above comes with an impressive specification.

OS: Android ICS 4.04
Chipset: MediaTek MT6577
CPU: Dual-core 1 GHz
GPU: PowerVR SGX531
Sensors: Accelerometer, proximity
SIM slot: Dual SIM slot
Camera: 8 MP Primary, 3264 x 2448 pixels, autofocus, dual-LED flash
:0.3 MP secondary
Battery: Li-ion 2000mAh
Memory: 512MB RAM
2GB ROM
2GB built-in storage, exapndable upto 32GB
Display: IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors
Resolution: 480 x 854 pixels

Final Verdict

Overall Rating: 4/5

This phone is available in India at an MRP of INR 10,299 (You might get better deal in some online stores too). So at the 10K range this phone is a real value for money. But if you will try to compare it with Galaxy SIII or Note II, yu will be disappointed.  In-fact both caters to the different segment of buyer and should not be compared. However if it is compared to any other smart phone at this price range, it will surely be a winner. Micromax A110 is fail to gain extra points. It has has a smaller screen with the latter featuring a 5.5 inch screen as compared to the former’s 5 inch. If you want a bigger screen phone or a phablet and you are on a tight budget just go for it and you will love every penny spent.

How social Media Helps Small Business Succeed

It’s not easy to get your business noticed online, and it’s definitely a difficult task to make a connection to a potential customer that will last long enough for them to convert. If you’re trying to market a business as green this can be twice as hard, since people can be quite skeptical around your green credentials.

This has been made all the more difficult thanks to more savvy online buyers – due to the amount of time we collectively spend on the internet, even those who would once have been considered less than computer literate are easily capable of filtering out poor quality advertising images and copy floating around their Facebook sidebars; instead going for what the business and marketing types might call higher quality, more sharable articles.

A spokesperson for Make It Cheaper, one of the UK’s leading energy comparison sites, said: “High quality content and social media marketing has been gaining prominence as the way forward for web traffic generation in recent years. It is rewarded by search engine algorithms and word-of-mouth both online and offline. By creating and regularly updating informative website blog content and building customer engagement on social media, businesses can not only have their website re-indexed by search engines but also generate trust and establish authority on relevant topics. It’s easy to see that the business landscape is becoming more transparent because the internet allows fast access to company information and customer reviews.”

It no longer matters what industry a business operates in – high quality content is essential to ensure that potential customers engage with the brand. A business gas comparison expert from Make it Cheaper spokesperson continued:
“As a result, it is equally important to practice ethical business management and to provide quality products that perform according to expectations. Informed and cost-conscious customers base their purchasing decisions on value and convenience for time and money. For this reason, we at Make It Cheaper offer our customers free, fast, friendly and impartial advice on business cost reduction over the phone. Our savings experts help to dramatically reduce business gas, electricity, telecommunications, and chip and PIN bills by comparing market prices, and we can even help you appeal your business rates and source new insurance policies and premiums without charging a consultation fee.”

Benefits of Video Conferencing for your business

Businesses of all sizes looking to drive down their communication costs might be forgiven for thinking it would be impossible to hold meetings without forking out hundreds for a business trip that could have no positive conclusion at the end. However, thanks to Powwow now Video Conferencing, it’s possible to arrange a meeting with a client from the other side of the world without having to spend a small fortune on getting to their office, but how can it benefit your business?

In terms of saving money, Web Conferencing from companies can reduce the need to spend money on travelling long distances to and from an office of a potential client or investor. Also, it’s far cheaper to use than making a hugely expensive phone call, which is something a lot of business owners are concerned about. In many ways, relying on video conferencing could reduce the need to use phones, therefore reducing phone bills considerably.
Video conferencing can also save businesses plenty of time. One way in which that works is that travelling to meetings can take upwards of a couple of hours, and that time could be saved by arranging a video conference call instead, leaving your business extra time to do something more valuable than sit on a train waiting to get to your venue. It will also save remote employees time, as they won’t have to wait for a bus or drive to the office, and can start work at home on time if they need to talk to you.
Another benefit that video conferencing can bring to your company is the fact that it’s easy to use. In a few minutes, you can start a video conference call with whoever you invite to get involved and can get down to business. Also, it makes collaboration easy, as you can invite a number of people to the same conference call if you need to arrange a staff meeting promptly.

How to setup your new iPad mini

The new iPad Mini from Apple, awaited for several months has been launched; and is one of the most sought after tablets, considering the craze associated to any other Apple devices.  Pitted against the smaller-sized tablets from Samsung and HTC; iPad Mini, fast followed the revolutionary new iPad  and has breakthrough features like Siri, Notification Center, iMessage  and iCloud to name a few. Know everything about setting up and securing your new iPad and iPad Mini here.

Apple Inc. no wonder has the Midas touch to create or transform everything into innovations that change the way technology is perceived. From the early Mac to the revolutionary iPhone and then the iPad to the competitively rejuvenated iPad Mini, Apple has always managed to retain its ‘Think Different’ motto.

At a time when Apple managed to break-free of it number module following iPad 2 with the ‘new’ iPad, it was evident that Apple already had larger plans up its sleeves and that has recently been given shape with iPad Mini. While, perhaps for the first time with the launch of iPad Mini, Apple seems to have tried to keep pace with its competitors in creating a smaller tab (in the likes of contemporaries like Samsung, HTC, etc.).

So, if you have got yourself a new iPad Mini, you must be wondering as to how to set it up and get started. Well, although there are many similarities to the early versions of the iPad, the introduction of the iCloud is a major transformation and can well be called a game-changer of sorts.

Setting up iCloud

iCloud in real terms has made access to iDevices seamless. As, with this new technology, you are no longer required to plug your iPhone, iPad or iPad Mini into iTunes/ Mac/or Windows PC for the initial Set up, to upgrade or for Backup. Thanks to iCloud, you can now do all these easily and much faster on your local Wi-Fi network or over-the-air; and most importantly without worrying about forgetting them – as all the routine processes happen automatically.

Setting up Siri

Siri, the Nuance-technology enabled virtual assistant from Apple has craved its place as the most loved and trusted aide that not only listens to whatever you ask you to do; in fact it is a great way to stay in touch, on schedule, and informed.
Siri, which was introduced with the iPhone 4S, has now been integrated to offer its services to the new iPad and iPad Mini, courtesy iOS 6. Siri which was originally offered only in a few chosen languages is now available in more languages, locations, and features.
It is quite easy to setup, configure, secure, and start using Siri instantly; however, there may be a few instances which will require you to enable it. Just as, there may be a few settings that may require configuration so as to make Siri more secure like – in case you choose to bypass your PIN lock and access your contacts and other data, make sure to check out all your options and choose the most suitable and eclectic blend of feasibility and security.

Setting Up Notification Center

Notification Center unquestionably is the lifeline and the most dynamic feature of Apple devices including the iPad and iPad Mini. It is rightly said that setting up Notification Center is integral to functioning of your iDevice since it serves to be the most viable medium to streamline related functions like reminders, alerts, calls, messages, announcements, etc. that inundate your iPad or iPad Mini.
The best thing about Notification Center is that you can badge your icons. This will not only help you know about your pending items; all the more you can have the list of everything right on your Lock screen. So, you can be well-informed and aware of any notifications immediately.

Setting up iMessages

iMessage is one of Apple’s most in-demand proprietary services that works on any device running iOS 5 or higher, and any Mac running OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion or higher and so also in the new iPad and iPad Mini. iMessage allows you to receive free, SMS and MMS-like messages on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac from any other iMessage user. You can not only send text, photo, and video messages regularly, but contacts, voice memos, and locations as well.

You can set up iMessage by just start using it right away. However, you will require some amount of configuration in a few steps to be done depending upon the device you are using.

Get introduced to your new iPad Mini and feel empowered with the ‘power of small’, since all great things are said to come in small packages.
